Certified Manager Certification
The CM is a general management certification for managers in any industry and a reliable indicator of managerial competence and leadership potential. The CM credential is earned by meeting eligibility requirements for education and experience and passing 3 challenging examinations. The online program can be completed anywhere in the world.
The CM program consists of 3 course modules - Management Skills I: Foundations of Management, Management Skills II: Planning and Organizing, and Management Skills III: Leading and Controlling. Each includes a study manual, ICPM e-Learning Center access, practice exams and a certification exam. Each exam covers the content of the study manual of the same name.
To earn the CM certification one must pass all three certification exams. Successful completion of the CM exams is a reliable indicator that an individual possesses the skills that leaders and managers need.
To be approved, a candidate must meet eligibility standards. Eligibility for the CM certification is determined by a point system that considers both experience and education. To be eligible for CM certification, an applicant must document at least 10 total points and meet the minimum point requirement for both education and experience. Applicants who meet the minimum point requirement for education or experience may apply as an Associate Certified Manager (ACM). ACMs can obtain full CM status upon completing their deficient eligibility criterion. Approved applicants have a maximum of 15 months in which to pass the CM exams.
