This course is designed for all professionals - not just those with "project manager" in their title. The 12-hour course is highly interactive - no death by PowerPoint! Team-based exercises center around the case study of a young couple building a house and planning a wedding.
Participants who complete a 30-question quiz (all questions are covered in class; practice exams are provided) and submit an applied reflection statement earn a professional development certificate from JMU.
This course covers:
- Key project management terms and concepts
- How projects are interconnected and interdependent within an organization
- What visual tools aid in managing and communicating project progress
- How to create unbiased, clear, complete and concise updates and reports
