This course is designed for all professionals - not just those with "project manager" in their title. The 12-hour course is highly interactive - no death by PowerPoint! Team-based exercises center around the case study of a young couple building a house and planning a wedding.

Participants who complete a 30-question quiz (all questions are covered in class; practice exams are provided) and submit an applied reflection statement earn a professional development certificate from JMU.

This course covers:

• Key project management terms and concepts
  
• How projects are interconnected and interdependent within an organization
  
• What visual tools aid in managing and communicating project progress
  
• How to create unbiased, clear, complete and concise updates and reports

Instructor-led online sessions. You will receive an orientation email approx a week prior to class start date and textbooks are shipped at the same time. You must attend both online lectures and participate in group discussion and activities to receive your certificate.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy: You may cancel your registration up to two weeks prior to the program start date and receive a refund of course registration fees, less a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations and refunds after the two week deadline are processed at the discretion of the department.
