Description

As author Thrity Umigar writes, "usually there is one story that haunts you, that feels like a fever occupying your body. If the doctor gave you six months to live, which is the story you would most want to tell?" The class will involve writing those stories and discussing/clarifying them. Stories will be shared aloud.

Instructor: Tom Arthur was head of the JMU theatre unit from 1973 to 1998 in which he taught acting until his retirement in 2007. He has lectured and presented theater workshops across the globe. He is a professional and academic-level director, has published one book, more than forty articles, and has his own "story" blog on Facebook.
