Which Black music star influenced Elvis, Bob Dylan, the singers of the Swing Era, and the blues of B. B. King and Robert Johnson. Why do so many music figures become preachers and vice versa? Did Robert Johnson really sell his soul to the devil? How does the choice of instrumentation influence the style and approach of Pop music? This class will answer these questions and many more as an expansion and continuation of the topics that were discussed in the Spring Session.
