A9 Needle Turn Applique
Learn the art of Applique without making templates and using freezer paper or foundation paper. This class will teach you how to draw the design, baste the fabric onto the foundation, then needle turn the fabric to create the design.Instructor: After Josephine Millett retired in 1991 and moved to the Valley from Northern Virginia, quilting became her passion. She now especially enjoys doing applique after learning this technique. Many of her applique quilts have won Blue Ribbons in the Quilt Guild Shows, and she has taught this method of applique throughout the state of Virginia and at other Quilt Guilds.
Additional Fees: A "kit" for the beginner includes the foundation piece, fabric to be used and the thread, $5.00, payable to the instructor at the first class. Participants should bring scissors, needle and a thimble.
