F19A5 Tai Chi for Health and Enjoyment
Research shows tai chi has health benefits including reduction in falls; improvements in strength, balance, flexibility and mobility, bone density, sleep problems, hypertension, depression and can aid recovery from conditions including stroke, heart disease, injury, surgical procedures or tiredness and stress. Equally important, tai chi, which almost anyone can learn, is fun and relaxing. This course introduces you to some portions of Tai Chi for Rehabilitation. All exercises can be done sitting or standing. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.Instructor: Helmut Hirsch, PhD, is Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus of the State University of New York and is certified by Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach Tai Chi for Rehabilitation and Tai Chi for Arthritis.
