Camels. Delve into Qatari culture through a survey of their history, geography, economy, government, education, religion, sports, arts, nature, agriculture, daily life, and other topics. Discussions will include cultural differences as well as controversies surrounding the country. You will be surprised what you learn about this small but captivating Arab country.

 

Susan Hagadone is a retired educator (twice!) who has worked in a variety of educational settings during her 42-year career. Susan has taught in the coal mining Appalachian area of Virginia, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, correctional education as an Adult Basic Education/Special Education teacher, rural public school systems as an Elementary teacher, Special Education Learning Disabilities teacher and Reading Specialist, and international education Learning Support teacher. Susan has presented curriculum and instruction and learning disabilities presentations at public school in-service meetings and at local and regional international education conferences. She holds a BA in Elementary Education from Virginia Tech and an MA in Reading from James Madison University.
