What Would the Founders Think?
During the summer of 1787 the framers met to 'amend' the Articles of Confederation. Instead, they formed a new government that most would say has served us well. We will look at the evolution of the Constitution and the Supreme Court and discuss to what extent 'We the People... form(ed) a more perfect Union' over the past two plus centuries The Constitution that the founders wrote became the blueprint establishing our current Democratic Republic. GEORGE GRUNER is a local historian with over 40 years of teaching experience. He has worked as a docent at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum, and in Guest Services at Monticello. George has taught classes on the Virginian born presidents, prominent first ladies, women's suffrage.Please contact our office regarding availability of this course:
