Foundations of Project Management & Team Communication

This course is designed for all professionals - not just those with "project manager" in their title. The 12-hour course is highly interactive - no death by PowerPoint! Team-based exercises center around the case study of a young couple building a house and planning a wedding.

Taught 100% online, participants work together using Miro, a collaboration tool for virtual teams, gaining experience through hands-on activities.

Participants who complete a 30-question quiz (all questions are covered in class!) and submit an applied reflection statement earn a professional development certificate from JMU.

This course covers:

Key project management terms and concepts
How projects are interconnected and interdependent within an organization
What visual tools aid in managing and communicating project progress
How to create unbiased, clear, complete and concise updates and reports
