Right Sizing Your Home
This is the ONLINE version of the class. “Are you at a point in life where you might want to move to ‘right size’ your house? That could mean selling and buying a new home, adding an addition to your existing home, or possibly utilizing a home equity conversion mortgage (also known as a reverse mortgage). All of these options could be used to help you ‘Age in Place’ more comfortably by eliminating a mortgage payment and/or tapping into your existing equity to create a strategy to eliminate other debts or utilize your equity to create the home living environment you have always desired.” David Bates has been a leading mortgage industry professional since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Bridgewater College in 2016. He has received multiple awards within his company as well as being recognized as a 2022 Scottsman Guide 'Top Originator'. David credits his success to helping clients find the right product as well as creating the best plan depending on whether they want to live in a home, utilize a second home, or if they plan on using it as an investment opportunity now or in the future. One of David's strengths is being able to identify credit issues and has been able to help dozens of community members increase their credit scores to a place where they can then qualify for a mortgage when nobody else would help them. David is involved with Overlook Retreat & Camp Ministries as the board treasurer and enjoys volunteering there in his free time. In addition, he is also a member of several honor societies from his time at BC and is/was a member in the following organizations: Philomathes Society, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Sigma Beta Delta business honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society, and served as the Honor Council Chair in his time there. David has always enjoyed teaching and helping people learn what no one else will tell them, and hopes that you can benefit from his industry insights in terms of home ownership and credit utilization/improvement as well as a basic knowledge in personal finances. Please contact our office regarding availability of this course:
