More Kundalini Yoga for Youth & Joy
'Kundalini Yoga for Youth and Joy' is back by request for a third session! Can joy be learned? Is youth age-related? Scattered throughout the teachings of Kundalini Yoga are hundreds of practices which focus on returning the body, mind, and spirit to a place of vitality. Known as a yoga of transformation, Kundalini Yoga strengthens and balances our nervous system, regenerates energy within the body, and helps us develop our intuitive mind or “conscious awareness.” Through Pranayama (breathwork), Kriyas (specific series of actions or exercises done for a specific result), Mantra (intentional sound), Mudra (specific hand positioning) and Meditation, we’ll explore these practices that offer us a channel to renew our vibrancy, enthusiasm, and sense of joy and possibility. Sacred sound is always incorporated into class, along with time for deep rest. Chairs will be available and we'll explore modifications for every exercise. Participants are asked to dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, blanket(s), and any preferred yoga props (blocks, yoga straps, cushions, etc.). We’ll close each class with time for homemade yogi tea. Most people find a Kundalini Yoga class unlike any other yoga class they’ve ever experienced—however, no previous experience with any yoga is necessary. Kundalini Yoga can be practiced by anyone, by ANY body. Jennifer Perry (Dass Priya Kaur) is a certified Kundalini Yoga Level I teacher, as well as a certified teacher of Radiant Child Yoga. She has completed her Master Level III Reiki training and is pursuing further study and certification in both yoga and various healing modalities.
