Basic GmailGmail has many features and settings which can make sending, receiving, blocking and sorting emails a better experience. In the four sessions, the focus will be on demystify Gmail, making easier to get around the interface, declutter the view, and set up Gmail to do some of the work for you. We will look over the Gmail interface and icons, some useful settings, Gmail message arrangement and labels, searching in Gmail, and filtering in gmail, all to help you get your email under control. This class assumes the attendees already have a Gmail account, know how to log in, read and send emails. Colleen Cahill has been a librarian all of her professional career, with over 40 years of cataloging and reference work. She worked in various libraries and for the last 27 years, was at the Library of Congress, both in the Rare Book Division and the Geography & Map Division. In the latter, she oversaw the team that digitized maps and put them on the Library's website. Under other duties as volunteered for, Colleen also provided technical assistance to her collogues and worked on various online projects. Colleen also was the Recommending Officer for Fantasy and Science Fiction at the Library of Congress.
