Goddesses in Older Women
Explore ancient mythology and find its relevance to contemporary women. Using the book Goddesses in Older Women by Jean Shinoda Bolen, we will explore the archetypal energies of these goddesses that lead to compassion, laughter, and wisdom during the third phase of a woman's life. There will be storytelling, mythology, active imaginations, poetry, circles--all meant to enhance self-awareness and personal empowerment. Pamela Beverage, Ed. D., LPC has completed more than 13 years of post-doctoral studies in Jungian psychology. She was an advanced analytic candidate in Switzerland at the Research and Training Centre for Depth Psychology. She has a private practice in depth psychotherapy in the Harrisonburg area. Pamela has facilitated group discussions for more than 50 years and has been teaching for JMU's Lifelong Learning program for the last 9 years.Please contact our office regarding availability of this course:
