Zentangle: Fun with Fragments
Zentangle is a meditative art form in which students create beautiful images from repetitive patterns called tangles. There is no right or wrong in Zentangle, just beauty. Classes allow students freedom to discover, explore, and embrace individual style and personal artistry.
This class involves playing with Fragments and Reticula to create interesting combinations of patterns. Reticula is the term used for any type of grid, and fragment is the term for the pattern used to fill the grid. We will explore the use of square, round, and triangular fragments within designs.
Jennifer Cottrell is a Certified Zentangle® Teacher and has been an arts-and-crafts lover from early childhood. She provides instruction in this wonderful meditative art through JMU Lifelong Learning and through private lessons and parties.
