Ziplining at Massanutten Family Adventure Park
Ever wonder what beautiful native plants live in western Virginia and how to plant them in your own landscape? This coach tour lead by Nate Miller to Hill House Farm and Nursery in Castleton, VA will give you the chance to find out. Hill House Farm and Nursery is a Davis family owned nursery dedicated to growing high-quality native plants for gardens and landscape restoration projects. Upon arriving we will have a lecture and discussion on the importance of planting native plants in the landscape and the benefits to the environment.
After a tour of the facility visitors will have time to peruse the nursery and buy plants if they wish. We will then drive to Sperryville where we will have lunch on your own at Before and After Restaurant with free time to visit this charming town. An assignment of risk waiver is asked of all participants.

9:45-11:30 Hill House Farm tour, lecture, browsing
11:35-depart for Sperryville - Sandy will give a brief history with handouts and map
12:00-lunch on your own
1:00-2:00 free time in town
2:10 depart for home
4:00-arrive in Harrisonburg (approx.)
Nate Miller holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a master's in Landscape Architecture. He is a Professor of Horticulture and frequent LLI presenter.
Sandra Conrad is a current member of LLI who also serves as a frequent co-teaching lead. She is a retired decorative arts professional and a former restauranteur.
