This course is designed for those interested in more in-depth project management prep certification. Those enrolling in this course will
qualify for the PMP Exam (PMBOK); however this is just the tip of the iceberg. This course is designed for those looking for advanced levels
of leadership and/or goals attainment. The course is structured for supervisors, high level management and executives. The course topics
cover over 130 hours in area such as delegation skills; law; diversity; six-sigma; strategic IT planning; integrating customer service;
ISO 9000 and much more.

In addition, students in the course will choose from one of two focus areas: Leadership Focus or Goal Attainment Focus. Each focus area includes over 100 additional hours of instruction.
Students who choose to follow the Leadership Focus will have the opportunity to study such topics as Assertive Communication, Dealing with Conflict in Workplace, Leadership Skills for Women, Leading the Workforce Generations, Managing Diversity and Systems Thinking in the 21st Century.
Students who choose to follow the Goal Attainment Focus will have the opportunity to study such topics as Business Execution, Essential Skills for Tomorrow's Manager, Mentoring Essentials, Negotiating to Win: Getting Results You Want, Problem-solving and Decision-making for Business and Strategic IT Planning.
BIO:
Michael S. Schroder
Mike is the Director, Extended Education and OnLine Learning (EEOL) at Towson University. The unit of EEOL is part of the Division of Economic and Community Outreach (DECO). His responsibilities include the daily routine of budgets, administration and personnel, conducting online and distance learning programs across the globe, workshops, short courses, and conferences for companies and government agencies, customized training for companies and government agencies, and curriculum development for customized programs. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Towson University is part of EEOL and is a mini-university for adults over 50 years of age.
Before coming to Towson University, Mike served for ten years in the Department of Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Tech University where he held the positions of Program Leader, Consortia Leader and Assistant Director.
Mike's broad range of experience also includes service with the Virginia Department of Education where he worked as Senior Research Associate, conducting research and evaluating school vocational education programs; and as corporate manager- trainer for the Ground Round Corporation.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech University in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management and a master's degree from Virginia Tech in Vocational and Technical Education, with a concentration in Training in Development. He is currently ABD (all but dissertation) as he works to complete his dissertation for a Ph.D. in Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Training and Development.
