C10 Let's Talk about God
Description: Recognizing the complexity of any discussion about God, participants will explore together ideas of a transcendent reality - an 'other' beyond themselves - that have been part of human experience for more than 30,000 years. The course will rely primarily on Karen Armstrong's work in A History of God (1993) and The Case for God (2009).Instructor: LLI member Mary Lou McMillin is a Certified Christian Educator with the Presbyterian church(USA) and served as Resource Coordinator for Shenandoah Presbytery for 31 years. She has previously taught a number of LLI courses on religious topics.
Suggested Reading: The Case for God, by Karen Armstrong (Anchor Books, 2009).
