C6 Seldom Seen Treasures in Rockingham County

Description: Past gates and behind doors, Rockingham County is full of surprises. This "just for fun" class will learn about and visit seldom seen sites including a local quarry, an antiques restoration car shop in an old mill, a relocated barn that is now a unique home containing a complete airplane bathroom, a wooded hillside covered in tree peonies, bluebells, and daffodils, and an abandoned railroad station. Just before Mother's Day we will attend the Mennonite wholesale Plant and Produce Auction to watch magnificent displays of flowers being sold. On a clear day, we'll view Rockingham County from the roof of the county's only castle. Participants must be able to climb stairs and walk a mile on uneven ground.

This course is limited to 20 participants
