The Tenerife Crash: Still the Deadliest Accident in Aviation History
Captain Robert L. Bragg (Pan Am and United, Ret.) joined Pan American World Airways after leaving the United States Air Force. In 1977, while a first officer with Pan Am, he was involved in what is still known as the world's worst aviation accident in history in the Canary Islands. Five hundred and eighty-three people died when a KLM 747 crashed into a Pan American 747 on the ground. Captain Bragg is the only surviving cockpit crew member. Hear him tell what happened and what changes have taken place in aviation in recent years. He subsequently received the FAA's Achievement Award, the highest award that the FAA can bestow upon a civilian pilot.

Uncover Your Inner Poet: Write Verse and Have Fun
Linda Dove first came across poetry in high school but then neglected it for decades until she retired from a career in international development. Since then she has read poetry, written poetry, and learned from poet friends what makes a poem work. Sometimes, she is astonished by a poem that just scribbles itself; other times, she struggles to discipline an unruly idea into poetic form. Either way, poetry has become a precious part of Linda's life and she hopes to share with others who have no formal training the fun of writing poetry.
