S16B4 Writing Prompts and More Writing Prompts
Description: If you are serious about writing, you may want to make the acquaintance of the humble writing prompt. Even disciplined and published writers use them - especially when they are experiencing a "dry spell." Find out what they are, how and when to use them, and why they work. In the end, you may not love them, but you will (very likely) use them - regardless of what you write. In class writing with prompts will be a feature of the class.Instructor: Dorothy A. Boyd-Bragg is Professor Emerita of History at JMU. She received her Ph.D. from Temple University. Her research and writing interests include history, non-fiction, poetry, and genealogy. She is the author of numerous books and articles and, as a freelancer, is a professional editor and indexer.
