S16B9 The Sermon On The Mount

Description: The Sermon on the Mount is three chapters of sayings or a sermon found in Matthew 5-7. The mountain sayings of Jesus have been highly debated through the centuries for both their content and their meaning. Many have spent a good deal of time and energy trying to explain why they don't mean exactly what they say. We will focus on a verse-by-verse analysis of this very important section of Scripture using a three-part outline: The Blessings of the King, The Greater Righteousness, and The Alternatives.

Instructor: Duane Yoder is in his 13th year as the Lead Pastor of the Lindale Mennonite Church. He pastored churches in Kansas and in Florida before moving to Virginia. He is also an adjunct teacher at Eastern Mennonite University.
