S17A6 The Dynamic World of Ancient Greece

This class will explore the major periods of ancient Greece through archaeological sites at locations such as Crete, Santorini, Athens, Corinth, Olympia, and Delphi. Our exploration will be primarily archaeological, historical, and mythological. At each session we will also sample a traditional Greek food drawn from a rich tradition of hospitality and dining. Ultimately, I hope to provide an exciting glimpse into the ancient culture of a diverse and creative people as it is preserved in modern Greece.
