Known for its breathtaking scenery, world-class performances and sumptuous meals, the Garth Newell Music Center provides a unique experience for lovers of chamber music and fine dining. Situated in the heart of Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, Garth Newell presents more than 50 live, professional performances annually, engaging with audiences through conversational and interactive programs.Join us for a luncheon, lecture, and a performance by the Archduke Trio of Ludwig van Beethoven' trio in B-flat major, Op. 97. Dr. Steven Whiting will be the guest lecturer for this event. Dr. Whiting taught at the University of Illinois and University of Michigan and studied at the Christian-Albrechts-Universitat in Kiel, Germany. He is a musicologist and Beethoven Specialist.
