Preparing secondary STEM teachers: Where are the teachers of color?
The need for more STEM teachers of color has been stymied by low numbers of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate candidates of color and availability of better paid career options. The focus of this session is the challenges and rewards of recruitment and retention of students for the Robert Noyce Scholarship Program. Presenters: Jacqueline T. McDonnough (Virginia Commonwealth University), Cheryl M.Adeyemi (Virginia State University), Carolyn B. Morgan (Hampton University)
