Norway and Denmark in the Viking Era
This course will discuss the Scandinavian tribes and kingdoms of Norway and Denmark with a focus on their home life and settlement, trading, raiding, and expansion in Europe and the North Atlantic into the tenth century AD. Clarence Geier is Emeritus faculty member of the Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology, James Madison University. His primary expertise is prehistory and historical archaeology of Virginia.
