Eat Like a Greek
This course will provide building blocks for eating simply, healthfully, mindfully and seasonally with the Mediterranean Diet, touted as the best diet for overall health. Students will learn to prepare traditional recipes using fresh produce, herbs, and spices. This is a hands-on class, where we will chop, season, and learn to prepare authentic recipes from Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon. These new recipes focus on vegetables, beans and fish. The class is designed so that you can recreate these simple, flavorful recipes at home.
Claudia Hanna has taught Mediterranean cooking classes at JMU, UVA, the Discover More Children's Museum and in her community for over 5 years. She teaches people ages 5 - 100 an authentic Mediterranean Diet that she learned from living in Cyprus for over a decade. She loves sharing healthy recipes.
