Spanish I
This course is designed to teach the basics of Spanish communication and culture. Students will learn how to greet others, navigate interpersonal exchanges, order from a menu, ask for directions, and other phrases used in everyday communication.
Guillermo (Gil) Fernandez is a native of Nicaragua who came to the United States at age 11. His use of Spanish at home and his public education in English encouraged him to become deeply embedded in both languages and cultures. As a bilingual and bicultural educator, Gil has taught community Spanish classes for various audiences over the past seven years.
