Writing Your StoryAs author Thrity Umrigar writes, "usually there is one story that haunts you, that feels like a fever occupying your body. If the doctor gave you six months to live, which is the story you would most want to tell." This class involves writing those stories and discussing and clarifying them. It will include sharing class members' stories read aloud, which if shared with families later should be something everyone can enjoy and remember: a memento for all. Each person in the class is expected to write a story per week to share with other class members. Stories being read at each class should take no more than 10 minutes, which will leave time for discussions of the stories and class organizational matters.
