S20C17 Spring Tour of the Most Photogenic Places in Our CommunityThis course provides an introduction to photographic techniques through visiting and photographing some of most beautiful places in our community, including Silver Lake, Lake Shenandoah, Massanutten Mountain, and JMU. Students will be introduced to tools such as Google Photos, as well as post-processing, photo storage, and organization. Weeks 3-5 will include early morning field trips to local sites.
Frank Doherty, a 30-year Rockingham County resident, is an avid photographer, member of the Rocktown Camera Club and OASIS Fine Art & Craft Gallery, and former James Madison University administrator. He has photographed the local community for more than 15 years, and his photos are displayed in the JMU Admissions Office and Oakview, which serves as the president's home.
