What is "Elder Law", and what do you need to know to protect your family, assets, and personal independence? This course helps explain how the graying of America has contributed to the creation and expansion of this new field of law. We will discuss topics like estate planning; probate; incapacity planning, including powers of attorney and advance medical directive; and financial and long-term care planning with regard to Medicaid, Medicare, Veteran's Benefits, and Social Security. Please bring your personal questions as we will also address areas of interest to class members.
