This course is a four-week course that will meet once per week at the Harrisonburg Police Department. Senior Self Defense will include a range of ways to protect yourself, your property, and your finances. Protecting yourselves and loved ones from physical harm, scams, and property related crimes are some of the many topics of discussion. This class may require light physical instruction. Sergeant Brooke Wetherell has worked for the Harrisonburg Police Department for 11 years. During this time, she has served as a patrol officer, community resource officer, detective, and currently is assigned to the Professional Standards Unit. Other members of the Harrisonburg Police Department will be joining and assisting Sergeant Wetherell during this class.
